Texas Courthouse Preservation

Beirne, Maynard & Parsons, as a Texas-based firm of civil litigation attorneys, believes our Texas county courthouse heritage must be preserved. We support the efforts of Preservation Texas to preserve and restore these important buildings and keep them in service to their communities. With more than 250 county courthouses in Texas, many of which have been in service for more than 100 years, Texas has always been proud of the way civic life is integrated into the fabric of our counties and towns. Our courthouses are part of not only our architectural heritage, but our cultural and psychological heritage, too. They are part of who we are.

Through the educational and advocacy efforts of Preservation Texas, working alongside the Texas Historical Commission, some of our most spectacular courthouses have been restored, but there is much work still to be done on courthouses throughout the state.

Visit the Preservation Texas Web site at http://www.preservationtexas.org to learn more about Texas courthouse preservation, as well as other important Texas preservation and restoration projects.
