The Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation Name Blake Tartt as an Outstanding Fifty Year Lawyer

The Texas Bar Foundation, a philanthropic organization distinguished by both legal excellence and a fundamental mission to serve, named Beirne, Maynard & Parsons partner Blake Tartt to receive an Outstanding Fifty Year Attorney award in 2010.Mr. Tartt has extensive experience representing a diverse group of Texas and international clients in significant litigation, including construction and nuclear power, securities fraud, class actions, and mass tort cases involving personal injury and death claims. Mr. Tartt has not only served his many clients by trying cases; his career has been marked by tireless service to the Bar, including a term as the President of the State Bar of Texas. Among his numerous leadership roles at the Texas Bar Foundation, he has served as Chair of the Board and Chair of the Fellows. Mr. Tartt has also served on the Board of Governors, the House of Delegates, and the Chair of the Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary for the American Bar Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

The Outstanding 50 Year Lawyer Awards was the first award established by the Texas Bar Foundation, in 1974. The award recognizes attorneys whose practice spanned fifty years or more, and who adhere to the highest principles and traditions of the legal profession and service to the public. It is the highest honor a Texas lawyer can receive.
