Robert Horn represents clients in a wide variety of civil litigation matters in state and federal courts. Mr. Horn focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, real estate litigation, consumer litigation, mortgage lending litigation, and bankruptcy. Mr. Horn’s practice also includes negotiating and drafting loan modification agreements, providing clients with title policy coverage analysis and advice, and advising bank and mortgage servicing leadership with regard to legal issues impacting bank and mortgage servicing operations.

Representative Cases
- Successfully briefed and presented oral argument to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals for a national mortgage servicing company that established, for the first time in Texas, the validity of adjustable rate home equity loans
- Defended national mortgage servicing company against claims for breach of contract, violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, fraud, and violations of the home equity amendment to the Texas Constitution
- Defended national banks against claims for breach of contract, fraud, wrongful foreclosure and violations of the home equity amendment to the Texas Constitution
- Defended national bank and mortgage registration corporation in federal court against claims for breach of contract, violations of the Texas Property Code, violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and violations of state and federal debt collection statutes. Obtained summary judgment for clients on trespass to try title, foreclosure, and eviction causes of action
- Represented national banks in federal court in fraud, racketeering, and wrongful foreclosure actions against individuals and sham corporations situated throughout the U.S.
