Gary Alfred practices primarily in the areas of civil litigation and toxic torts. In addition, his practice involves business litigation, commercial and residential construction matters, oil and gas issues, personal injury defense, legal malpractice, and labor and employment law matters.

Mr. Alfred is actively involved in the Houston community. He is a Houston Volunteer Lawyer Program Board Member and co-chairs his firm's Veterans' Legal Clinic and other pro bono activities. He volunteers at local area elementary, middle, and high schools. Mr. Alfred also assists area law schools with moot court and mock trial competitions.

  • Represented a principal and principal's company against claims of fraud, interference with business relations, conspiracy, and other business torts
  • Defended an attorney and attorney's law firm in a legal malpractice case  
  • Represented a bank in a fraud and conspiracy lawsuit
  • Represented an employee staffing company in a racial discrimination case and indemnity action
  • Defended a Fortune 100 company in a racial discrimination, disability discrimination, and defamation case
  • Defended a hospital and its plan administrator in an ERISA and disability discrimination suit
  • Defended a Fortune 100 company in a sexual harassment lawsuit involving a female, minor employee's allegations against one of the company's assistant store managers
  • Defended a company against breach of employment contract claims brought by a former executive
  • Defended a Fortune 100 company in a case involving race and disability discrimination, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and defamation claims
  • Defended a Fortune 100 company in a disability case involving a wheelchair-bound plaintiff claiming the company failed to provide access to its facilities
